How to know whether updates are available or not?
Whenever, an update is available Store app tile on Start Screen shows it e.g. I had 21 app updates available and Store tile showed 21 on the bottom right corner of tile (refer the image below).
Just follow the instructions below and you will be able to install app updates in seconds.
Instructions:
- First of all, make sure you have updates available by following the above method.
- If, updates are available then, open up the Store. Once opened, go to the home page. Here you would see the available number of updates on top right corner of the screen. Press it.
Don’t see the updates there? You can use the alternate method provided below.
- Open up Charms Bar (Windows key + C) in Store and select ‘Settings’. You Settings Charm would open. Here press ‘App updates’
- You would be taken to the App updates section of Store. Here select ‘Check for updates’ button.
- Now, you would be taken to the page where all the apps would be showed which have update available.
- Select the apps you want to update and press ‘Install’ to start installing the update.
- You would be taken back to the home page of Store but, this time you will get the ‘Installing apps’ link on the top right corner.
- Pressing the Installing apps button will take you to the app installation page where all the apps being installed/updated will be showed.
