Sony Xperia SP Launched In India


Last month, Sony unveiled the Xperia SP smartphone. This entry-level smartphone runs on the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System. Today, Sony finally launched the amazing Xperia SP smartphone in India. Sony Xperia SP comes with an unique Battery Stamina Mode that improves the standby time by four times by automatically shutting down battery-draining apps whenever the screen is off. The latest Mobile Bravia Engine 2 on this handset delivers a better viewing experience by analyzing your content type and adjusting the image automatically.

Sony Xperia SP features a 4.6 inch HD TFT Reality display, sporting a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass, 1.7 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon dual-core processor, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G LTE Connectivity, 8 GB internal memory, 5.8 GB user memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 1 GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA Certified, USB 2.0 and much more.

It also comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio with RDS, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash Full HD (1080p) video recording and playback, VGA front-facing camera for video calls, GPS with A-GPS, HDMI support, Micro USB, NFC (Near Field Communication), Google Play Store, up to 39 hrs of music playback time, up to 734 hrs of stand-by time, up to 10 hrs of talk-time and a 2370 mAh battery.

Sony has pre-loaded Sony Music and Sony Liv apps on this device. Sony Music offers free unlimited streaming and music download for 6 month. On the other hand, Sony Liv is a unique video streaming app which allows the consumers to catch-up show of SAB, Sony Entertainment and Max. Sony Xperia SP will be available in black and white colors. This handset will go on sale from mid-April for Rs.27,490 (approx. $500). Sony Xperia SP customers will get a free premium case worth Rs. 1,990.

  1. i had bought dis 12 days back and dat too at a price tag of 23000. performance is awesome and for more good battery backup activate the stamina mode.....camera can be a little better but still clicked very crisp n sharp pictures.....built quality is ultimate and very responsive interface......go for it if u have ur budget from upto 18k upgrade it to 23k n go for dis phone..m sure u will never regret.
