Samsung is planning to launch the successor to the Galaxy Gear which is dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 according to the new report from the ZDNet Korea. This smart watch is likely to be a major improvement over its predecessor with a flexible OLED curved screen that is similar to the flexible OLEDdisplay found on the curved Galaxy Round Smart phone.
The company has announced earlier, confirming that the Galaxy Gear 2 will be launched alongside the Galaxy S5 the press event that will be held in March or April but any specifications of the device is not given but mentioned that the press event will be held in London. It is also mention that the device will be comfortable on the wrist than the first generation Galaxy Gear that was a bit bulky on its design.
The South Korean company’s first generation smart watch was the competitor to the Apple, Google and LG but the second generation of this smart watch should be featuring many improvements to stand in the competition this year since the software and design were lacking in the first edition. The reports also said that the Company is determined to revamp its smart watch, changing all the parts that looked dull and boring.
When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved, Lee Young Hee, the executive vice-president of the Samsung’s mobile business, said.
This second edition of the smart watch from Samsung is rumored to be launching in March or April 2014 and it should come with major improvements to stand a chance in the market that is growing very rapidly.
