Budget iPhone Leaks, Is This Apple’s Next Big Thing?

For months now, Apple has been rumored to be working on a cheaper “budget” iPhone. We’ve seen multiple reports all claiming that a cheaper iPhone is in the works, and a few days ago, the first images of the rear casing of the device were leaked. Now, the folks over at Techdy have gotten their hands on what they claim to be the exterior shell and display assembly of the upcoming device. Head inside for the closest look on the cheaper iPhone that we’ve come across yet…“The budget iPhone will be made substantially from plastic (we can feel it’s actually polycarbonate material). It will have a 4” screen, like the iPhone 5, and interestingly, the budget iPhone actually has a shape that’s similar to Apple’s original iPod. When we hold the budget iPhone in our hands, the plastic chassis does not feel cheap at all. Unlike the plastic build quality of the Samsung Galaxy phones, the plastic material used on the budget iPhone feels more sturdy.”

Interestingly, the assembly shown in the video does actually match up with the recent leaks and rumors. Can this really be Apple’s entrance into the budget smartphone market? Take a look at a few more pictures Techdy has posted:

Techdy has actually also made an Android device based on the design of the budget iPhone leak. The device has some pretty impressive specs featuring a 4-inch display, 1.7GH quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 8megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2300 mAh battery. The phone also runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and costs $199. You also have the option between 5 different colors.
