Windows 8.1, the update for Windows 8 is scheduled to be released as a preview on June 26 which would include many new and awesome featureslike return of Start Button, more customizations of Start Screen and many more. Windows 8.1 would also update the pre-installed apps and introduce some new ones as well. Windows Store, the primary and probably the only source of Windows 8/8.1 apps would also be revamped in the update for Windows 8.
Windows Store

Microsoft may not have released the Windows 8.1 for public but, the software giant did demoed most of the features during TechEd conference in North America as well as during the Computex, Taipei the biggest computer show in the world.
Microsoft’s executives including the Windows Team head, Tami Reller and the Windows Team designer, Antoine Leblond along with some other executives demoed the Windows 8.1 and some new hardware devices. During the Windows 8.1 demo, we were also showed a short walk through of the Windows Store which has been revamped in the Windows 8.1.
Here is how the Windows Store would look like in Windows 8.1
As you can see in the images above and below, Microsoft has completely re-designed the Store for Windows 8.1. First thing you would see (above) when you launch the Store is the app spotlight section which unlike current Store includes animated transitions showing different apps. The most interesting thing about the new interface is the app description which is showed with each app throughout the Store.

The next section would be named as ‘Picks for you’ which would include the apps tailored for you. The awesome thing about that section is its capability to change according to user preferences which means it will show the apps according to your currently installed app, the searches you make and the apps you visit and download from Store. In short, if you search a lot for games in Store and also have a lot of games installed in your PC then, that section will show most of the games.

The next sections on the homepage of Store include ‘New releases’ and ‘Popular apps’ etc.

Windows Store would also improve navigation like categories and installed apps which has been moved to the top app bar which can be brought by tapping on the green section on page.
Microsoft just like whole Windows 8.1 has also included a Search bar in Windows Store which remains there throughout the Store whether you are viewing homepage, category or app details page.
